Clive Mann BA MCIL
German and French to English Translator since 1997
With a degree in French, German and Business Studies, I joined RWS, a leading intellectual property translation company, in 1993.

My initial three years as a translation checker, proofreading and correcting a wide variety of texts, provided the perfect grounding for my career as a translator.
Having decided to specialize in legal translation, I then obtained the relevant law degree papers to become a German and French to English legal translator at the company.

I left RWS and started working as a freelance translator in 2012, mainly handling patent litigation subject matter, in particular briefs, submissions, oppositions, judgments and decisions, but also general legal texts such as contracts, company documents and commercial material.
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists
